Job Summary: This position is responsible for using an effective and consultative sales approach to meet established sales goals for clients with an established minimum premium. This position services clients who are not supported by service centers. In addition, this position assists in selling for other areas of personal lines, as directed. Specialize in servicing of High Net Worth client accounts that require special needs, resources, consultations and program design,
Principal Responsibilities: Utilizes a consultative sales approach to achieve established sales goals. Provides sales and service to a clientele with minimum premiums that aren’t supported by service centers.
Provide exceptional customer service to High Net Worth clients; requiring detailed knowledge of products and services in the High Net Worth carrier space.
Expertise dealing with the complexities of High Net Worth accounts. Being able to accurately convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Assists with new business sales volume in other areas of personal lines as directed.
Consistently meets agency service standards. Provides a high level of client service and performs the following tasks: recommends coverage, issues policies and required documents, handles correspondence and ensures client satisfaction and privacy. Receives, processes and ensures appropriate resolution of and follows up on all client requests.
Works directly with Retail Banking on referral opportunities and conversion to sales
Identifies all client exposures and transfers risk to insurance, incorporating all established minimum limits and coverage
Ensures renewals and changes and ensures they are accurate and processed and billed in a timely and efficient manner.
Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
Education/Experience Requirements: College degree or equivalent work experience required. 5-8 years relevant experience. CT Property/Casualty Agent’s license required. Completion of INS and AAI series or equivalent required. Progress toward any personal lines professional designation.
Job Specific Competencies: Expertise in all areas of personal lines, CT state insurance principles and practices governing auto, homeowners, valuable items, fire, theft and loss coverage, life and health coverage and all internal policies and procedures. Demonstrated sales ability. Strong rating and math skills.
Ability to acquire and maintain changing product information for all products supported.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and negotiation skills are needed to close sales in an efficient and professional manner.
Ability to foster and cultivate effective working relationships with diverse groups of people.
Excellent PC skills including word processing and agency management systems.
Ability to evaluate, analyze and quantify the impact of the issues involved.
