As a part of MEDNAX's Corporate Risk Management Program, the Insurance Program Manager is responsible for managing and administering the insurance program for the company. You will work closely with brokers and insurance companies to transfer the risk of loss by purchasing insurance with an objective to maintain expenses, including the retained loss costs insurance at reasonable levels and in line with the Company's risk appetite.This position reports to the Vice President of Risk Management and is expected to consistently perform as follows:
• Manage relationships with brokers, third-party administrators and carriers to support placement, administration and renewal of the Company's medical malpractice, business and property risk and executive liability insurance policies. • Obtain loss analysis reports from carriers/brokers. • Evaluate, analyze and report on loss reserve and payment information. • Identify, resolve or escalate any discrepancies or potential gaps or coverage issues. • Track, identify and explain reasons for changes in developing loss history • Manage the RiskMaster Information System to ensure the credibility of data in order to develop benchmark analytics to measure the effectiveness of our claims management program • Manage the process for issuance of Certificates of Insurance, Schedule of Insurance for business operations and insureds • Maintain all exposure data to include the tracking of all property values and location schedules • Develop presentations for internal and external audiences on the insurance, operations and risk management programs. • Prepare insurance risk reports: types and amount of claims, changes in exposure factors, and insurance renewal expense budget estimates with appropriate support. • Review business contracts and due diligence to assess the operational risks and advise on the appropriate amount and type of insurance required.
• Provide insurance guidance and ensure insurance contract sections are in sync with indemnity and hold harmless sections.
• College degree with 3 to 5 years working experience in insurance industry as account executive, insurance broker, or insurance consultant. • Working knowledge/experience in professional liability (Medical Malpractice) Business Owners, Auto and General liability lines • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills • Strong Microsoft Office experience with advanced Excel proficiency. • Insurance designation or in pursuit of ARM, desired.
