Where the Chemistry Happens…
We are currently seeking an Insurance Specialist, who, under the general direction of the Director - Insurance, will manage all aspects of the insurance data systems, manage the Marine, Political Risk, Aircraft Hull and Liability, Drone Liability and Group Excess insurance programs, develop underwriting data and insurance marketing submissions for insurance policy renewals, negotiate insurance policy terms and conditions, supervise the issuance of Certificates of Insurance and notification of claims, and perform corporate insurance accounting.
Formula for Success: You Will…
Manage the insurance data system including collection and input of data, generation of reports, creation of relevant dashboards and providing of training.
Be familiar and comfortable working with other data systems such as SAP, with the ability to learn proprietary software systems.
Manage collection and development of underwriting information for the Marine Insurance Program, including negotiation of insurance policy terms and conditions.
Manage collection and development of underwriting information, development of renewal strategy, meet with underwriters and negotiate policy terms and conditions and premiums for the Political Risk, Aircraft Hull and Liability, Drone Liability and Group Excess insurance programs.
Supervise the issuance of Certificates of Insurance, including reviewing insurance provisions in contracts.
Supervise the submission of asbestos and toxic tort claims and manage the process for reimbursement from insurers, with +/-$1M at stake annually.
Oversee accounting aspects of the Corporate Insurance Department, with a budget of approx. $40M, including reconciliation of insurance invoices, retrospective premium agreements, and legal billings. Negotiate resolution of billing and related disputes. Provide forecast of anticipated cost of insurance.
Manage Workers’ Compensation quarterly reporting and annual audits.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Risk Management or Insurance.
At least 2 years of business experience; insurance or data system experience preferred.
Experience with insurance data systems and other data systems such as SAP, with the ability to learn proprietary software systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Corporate business experience.
General knowledge of insurance coverages, risk analysis, and claims procedures is preferred.
