Proactively manages the property/casualty claims programs for assigned clients. Monitors large and complex claims (typically those over $100,000). Reviews all new claims on designated clients and establishes a plan of action to achieve a favorable claim resolution.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Advanced knowledge of all types of P&C coverage, including property, general liability, auto, management liability lines, and commercial crime;
Ability to work with a team to accomplish all aspects of brokerage claim servicing, including reporting, interaction with adjusters, review and analyze coverage positions from carrier;
Particular experience in large complex property claims;
Provides status reports to clients and keeps Account Executive and Claims Manager informed;
Ability to work at a fast pace;
Ability to use independent discretion and judgment to set schedule priorities, and handle workload;
Actively researches and obtains claims data from claim carriers and challenges adjusters as warranted while advocating the best possible outcome for clients in accordance with service standards;
Protect the confidentiality of information learned by performing the duties of the position;
Responsible for maintaining and updating own claims files in electronic format;
Commitment to client service;
Ability and willingness to assist in sales process including interaction with sales staff, clients, and markets.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience;
Adjusters License preferred;
Five or more years of claims experience in an insurance company, TPA or brokerage environment;
Ability to think critically, solve problems, serve clients, and effectively communicate verbally and in writing;
Proficient user of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
Respond in a timely manner to the requests and needs of clients and Insgroup Associates;
Ability to make a positive contribution to customer satisfaction and constantly strive to improve service to the customer;
Communicate in a positive manner to contribute to a cohesive, pleasant work environment;
Comply with Insgroup procedures and policies;
Attend meetings, educational workshops, carrier functions, staff meetings, and social events when requested;
Responsible for regular and punctual attendance.
