Responsible for executing the Enterprise Risk Management program, including supporting the identification, evaluation, mitigation, and monitoring of legal, regulatory, reputational, financial, governance, technology and operational risks. Develops risk mitigation programs together with leadership and business partners and sees programs through to completion. Develops tools, practices, and policies to facilitate the completion of risk mitigation programs and communication/reporting protocol once programs are implemented.
Manages the entire ERM Framework;
Conducts the mechanics of the annual ERM Risk Assessment Survey and Interviews, consolidates and reports results, helps to design risk mitigation projects as a result of the survey;
Manages risk mitigation projects through completion, serving as a strategic sounding board for the business risk owners as well as the administrator ensuring follow up and task completion;
Aptitude for obtaining commitment and consensus from others through effective communications, compromise and interpersonal behaviors without managerial control of people and resources;
Ability to maneuver through complex business obstacles effectively and obtain desired cultural changes;
Ability to understand risks from a broad variety of sources or segments of business and the ability to assist and influence operational areas throughout the enterprise to integrate the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework into their decision-making;
Strong sense of personal responsibility and the ability to work multiple projects and tasks simultaneously without direct supervision;
Benchmark and learn from external organizations, educational institutions, research bodies, etc. to determine best practices in the ERM space; then, judiciously determine which practices should be implemented at Gordon Food Service;
Helps to develop crisis management plans in connection with the corporate communication team;
Implements and executes the crisis management plan when the crisis event occurs;
Serves as the central organizer of information, documents, meetings, communications in the event a crisis event occurs;
Helps to maintain organization until the crisis event is complete;
Assists in review of potential mergers and acquisitions, including some legal project management associated with these transactions, as requested;
Assists in performing legal project management in large pieces of litigation, as requested.
Minimum of 5-7 years experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Previous experience in Enterprise Risk Management is preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree is required
Master’s Degree or Juris Doctorate preferred
