MTI, a nationally recognized medical solutions company is seeking a Vice President of Managed Care Practices & Clinical Services who will promote leadership and supports all aspects of clinical and program operations. The individual will establish and maintain effective strong professional relationships as well as formulating and administering policies and procedures. Will build and develop a cohesive high-performance team and direct an integrated medical services and overall organizational strategy. Responsible for performance and measurable quality outcome, this VP must be a skilled communicator to develop a collaborative approach with the leadership team to engage our business partners and medical solutions providers. The successful candidate will have Workers’ Compensation clinical operation experience in nursing and a high level of Workers Compensation industry knowledge and expertise. Will demonstrate superior leadership skills and able to adapt quickly to new and changing situations and enjoy the pride of building something new in a team environment that maintains and or improves the health of the injured worker while decreasing costs to our clients.

Establishes and implements short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
General knowledge of state Workers’ Compensation laws and fee schedules
Provides operational oversight of all departmental referrals, orders, evaluations, progress notes until case closure by carrier or discharged by physician
Ensures adherence to MTI’s proprietary tracking tools, task functions, authorization logs and timely follow up per MTI’s clinical guidelines
Continuously monitor processes and procedures of all medical products and services
Supports better management reporting, training and oversight to improve information flow of MTI’s clinical processes and procedures
Acts as advisor to department managers in meeting schedules and/or resolving departmental issues
Develops and administers inter-departmental schedules, performance requirements, and budget responsibilities
Oversees an operation of registered Nurses, clinical and non-clinical medical coordinators ensuring all systems are in place to meet state regulatory client and clinical best practices
Other duties as assigned
10 years of comparable deep industry knowledge and experience preferred
Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in a leadership role required
Bachelors’ degree in Nursing or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel (charts, graphs, formulas, pivot table etc.)
Ability to create and environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking and cohesive team effort
Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner
Excellent analytical skills
Ability to understand technical documents and legal or regulatory reference materials
Ability to provide information to a variety of audiences and deal effectively with confidential issues that are sensitive in nature
Ability to share information with awareness of its effect on others
