Aon has an opportunity for an Insurance Claims Analyst with at least 2 years insurance experience outsourced to our client located in the Boston Metro area. In this role, you will assist the Insurance Manager and Sr. Analyst in the maintenance of the corporation’s property and casualty insurance programs. The Insurance Claims Analyst will be responsible for claims and procurement management, communication of programs to business units and departmental statistical analysis. You’ll be privy and exposed to cutting edge science, complex internal customer challenges, and various risk management projects.
Organizational Relationships - Reports to the Insurance Manager
Program Processes and Procedures
Arranges for timely payment of premium and claims invoices; keeps accurate records of risk management expenses, including loss costs.
Works with accounting to analyze and track department spend
Manages an inventory of open claims
Manage compliance with state and international regulations for workers compensation
Investigates new claims by reviewing first reports of loss and supporting materials, determines the best first point of contact (claimants, employees, brokers, etc.) to gather information regarding injuries or loss
Prepare detailed claims status reports and present it to the team and internal stakeholders
Provide ongoing insurance and risk management support and assistance as needed
Assist in the development of and maintain communication tools for senior management and operating personnel describing claims status and management.
Provide expertise in policy and coverage interpretation to operating company personnel with regards to existing or potential claims.
College degree with major in Finance, Accounting. Risk Management and/or Supply Chain
Working towards ARM or CPCU designation a plus
Minimum of two years within a risk management/insurance department, insurance company or brokerage experience handling national or global accounts
Demonstrated capabilities in the major areas of responsibilities described above
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Customer service focus
Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to interface with all levels of personnel at operating units and corporate staff
Heavy administrative and organizational skills; must be detail oriented and comfortable working with numbers
Computer skills, experienced in Windows environment, Word, Excel, Access, use of on-line claims data systems
Time management skills, flexible and able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
Ability to work in fast paced team environment, handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
