Play a pivotal role in the management of New York University's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program. Support risk initiatives by working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Compliance & Risk Management, Internal Audit, Office of General Counsel, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Faculty and Academic Affairs, etc.) to analyze processes, determine risks, assess effectiveness of mitigating controls and have a coordinated approach to managing University risks . Manage and develop comprehensive communication plans and associated communications. Support and coordinate development of training to be delivered to key stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance or Management; MBA; Certifications in Risk Management, Compliance
Minimum of three years of experience in advisory, risk management (includes audit, risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk).
Experience with: assessing risk, development of risk mitigation and recovery planning, and business process improvements. Confidence and presence to lead meetings with internal and external parties. Experience working in Higher Education, Healthcare, Audit or in a global organization a plus.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficient in business processes and related risks and controls; knowledgeable in compliance and regulatory requirements at the Federal State and Local Levels across key compliance areas. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels at NYU. Business acumen and strong analytical skills and critical thinking. Detail oriented and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of Information Technology and risks, and business process management.
