The Enterprise Risk and Continuity team is responsible for delivering AGLC’s Enterprise Risk Management, Legislative Compliance and Business Continuity Programs. The team works with all levels of the organization in order to determine impacts and strategies associated with various potential courses of action and builds organizational resiliency through effective prevention and recovery methods.
Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Risk and Continuity, you will provide support regarding all aspects of enterprise risk management, legislative compliance and business continuity. You will be responsible for facilitating the identification of risks throughout the organization, collecting and analyzing compliance information, conducting business impact analysis, as well as preparing reports.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
Strong communication: both written and verbal communication is essential to be able to facilitate the identification of risks and develop reports for the AGLC Board and Executive Team. Solid relationship building: being able to develop strong collaborative working relationships is essential to be able to provide Business areas with risk management identification and business continuity planning. Considerable planning and organization: the ability to manage multiple tasks and organize priorities is key in being able to manage your time and ensure objectives of the programs. Continuously inquisitive: the desire to know more is fundamental for reaching the level required to effectively identify risks and potential courses of action. Critical thinking and problem solving skills: Excellent analytical abilities is key in conducting research and carrying out the implementation of business continuity plans during unforeseen events that impact business operations.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related discipline (i.e. Bachelor of Commerce, Business Admin Diploma etc.) • Minimum 2 years related experience in any combination of business continuity and risk management
Assets: • Formal risk management business continuity credentials such as Canadian Risk Management designation (CRM), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) or Certified Risk Management Professional • AND/OR formal certification in business continuity such as a Certified Business Continuity Professional or Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute
