Director, Risk Management
The Director of Risk Management will be responsible for ADPI’s risk transfer/risk financing programs and related claims management/loss control functions.
In this position, you will:
Compile, quantify and manage underwriting and risk information for all enterprise wide exposures, including those of ADPI, its subsidiaries and ADPI’s dental group affiliates.
Develop strategies for insurance program renewals and program marketing initiatives on lines of coverage.
Manage and negotiate relationships with brokers, insurance carriers and related service providers.
Work closely with ADPI’s Chief Professional Officer to mitigate the professional liability exposures of the affiliated dental groups.
Develop and implement a strategic plan for the management of the Workers Compensation and Professional Liability programs and claims reserving processes in conjunction with ADPI’s third party administrators.
Manage APDI’s wholly-owned captive insurance subsidiary and supporting service provider relationships.
Identify and implement alternative risk funding programs for ADPI’s self-insured retention programs.
Work closely with ADPI’s operating units, Human Resources, Professional Practice, Financial Reporting & Analysis, Corporate Development, Procurement and Legal functions to identify exposures and formulate risk transfer/control strategies.
MBA or other post-graduate degree desirable.
ARM, CPCU or other relevant professional designation required.
5+ years’ experience in corporate risk management.
Experience in managing Property & Casualty, Professional Liability and Management Liability insurance programs.
Experience with managing a captive insurance program.
Prior work experience with high growth, acquisition driven companies desired.
