Real World. Real Work. State Farm is seeking motivated, rising senior college students to participate in an internship program designed to provide a foundational understanding of risk and compliance. During the eleven week program, interns gain meaningful, hands-on work experience at a Fortune 50 company by working directly with State Farm associates to assist in protecting the enterprise from legal, regulatory, financial and reputational harm to support the organization’s goals to grow profitably and provide Re3markable® customer service.
The Risk & Compliance internship program offers a balance of hands-on work experiences leveraging training, mentoring, and development opportunities. A variety of departments within State Farm host Risk & Compliance Interns. Specific assignments and projects are determined by business area managers.
Location: Bloomington, IL
Dates: May 20 – August 2, 2018
Competitive pay based on a 38.75-hour work week
Paid holidays: Memorial Day and Fourth of July
Housing: A stipend is eligible to qualified applicants
Desired Majors: Business, Communication, Economics, English, Information Systems, Insurance, Mathematics, Political Science, Risk Management and Statistics
Minimum GPA: 3.5
Desired Skills and Qualities:
Initiative, resourcefulness and relationship building skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Understanding of data analysis
Proficiency with Microsoft Office® products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
