As a Manager, Affinity Insurance Programs for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will develop, market, and manage group retail and wholesale insurance programs that are dealer and customer interfacing in coordination with Business Units and John Deere Financial (JDF) on a global basis. In addition, you will:
Manage Deere's corporate political risk insurance program.
Serve as an insurance expert for contracts including consulting, drafting and negotiation of language.
Develop and maintain relationships with Business Units, John Deere Financial, Insurance Brokers and Insurance Companies.
Ensure global compliance with all legal and insurance regulations.
Be responsible for the mitigation of fortuitous loss that protects Deere's assets and earnings.
Provide insurance solutions to customers and dealers and mitigate credit loss to JDF. In some countries, group insurance programs will provide a source of revenue to dealers and JDF.
Supervise, coach and train employees to ensure their ongoing job satisfaction, professional development and prepare them for additional responsibilities.
What Skills You Need
10 or more years of Risk Management and Insurance experience or equivalent
Experience with global insurance programs especially casualty, political, trade credit, and credit insurance
Ability to think strategically, execute timely, perform analysis, and communicate effectively
Experience mentoring and coaching staff
Ability to collaborate and build relationships internally and externally
Experience with legal issues affecting area of responsibility
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25%
What Makes You Stand Out
Working knowledge of manufacturing principles
Prior international assignment
5 or more years of supervisory experience
CPCU, ARM or equivalent certification
