The Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk (CCOR) team seek to enhance control and enable sustainable growth for the Group through delivery of proactive support and constructive challenge to the business. This team has responsibility for business oversight and assurance activities in relation to Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk, as well as implementing the Conduct Strategy, managing the People Risk agenda, liaising with regulators and managing Insurable Risks for the Group.
The changing regulatory environment and focus makes this an exciting time to join one of the fastest growing areas in the financial services industry as an IT Risk Senior Manager in the CCOR Technology Risk team. In this role you'll lead the development of independent opinion on the businesses' management of risk, challenging areas of mitigation or control weakness, proactively identifying and coordinating assurance activities based on the current and future risk profile of the business.
You will also define robust approaches to new risk challenges and secure buy-in and endorsement from senior stakeholders in both the Risk Division and IT, as well as participate in the management of the business units' relationships with internal and external audit, regulator and industry bodies.
You will have insight in to the wider business units' strategy and challenges, and have the opportunity to influence and contribute to the overall business strategy and objectives, as well as develop bespoke and innovate approaches to make sure that IT risks are a core part of strategic programmes.
As a Senior Manager you'll provide leadership for colleagues within the IT Risk team, line managing and developing other members of the team.
It is essential that you have specific subject matter expertise in at least one of the following areas:
IT Programmes and Change Delivery
Oversight of enterprise risk-reduction and transformation programmes. Key areas of oversight include programme governance and risk management and management of the impact on the ongoing operational risk profile. Acceptance criteria, risk-based portfolio prioritisation, providing independent executive and regulator views would be an advantage. This role will involve the development of a repeatable approach to the oversight of key programmes.
Emerging and Innovative Technologies
The exploitation of cloud computing in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotic Process Automation (RPA/Bots), and the third party assurance for start-up digital solutions providers.
You will be an expert in your field and will need to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of executing IT risk management within financial services, plus have experience of conducting IT risk assessments of complex IT systems, preferably within UK banking or financial services organisations, as well as experience of performing technical risk analysis using structured and unstructured risk assessment methodologies and tools. In addition you will need:
Significant experience of leading Technology Risk team activities within an environment of both organisational and strategic change.
Extensive expertise and knowledge of the regulatory and compliance agenda within the UK and EU retail financial sector.
Proven experience of influencing stakeholders at Executive level including briefings for Board and other senior Committees. Ability to communicate at all levels including senior management, via a variety of mechanisms, to external third-party suppliers, partners and regulators with strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence people; good communication and presentation skills.
Drive and passion to continually raise the bar and lead the risk agenda across multiple business lines and programmes delivering both organisational and strategic change.
High level knowledge and demonstrable execution of risk evaluation and risk management techniques, with experience of providing impactful oversight.
Providing oversight and challenging the identification, assessment, recording and management of the enterprise's operational IT risks.
Able to demonstrate professional experience in technology risk management environment; in particular, detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements for Information Technology Risk management and measurement with strong technical acumen.
Methodical, thorough and diligent with problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to understand broad business issues in an IT context.
Candidates with IT or Security related degrees and relevant industry qualifications including CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC or a vendor Cloud certification or equivalent would be advantageous.

PLEASE NOTE - the salary offered will depend on location as well as skills and experience, and will range from £54,675 to approx £95,000 depending on experience.
