The Manager of Enterprise Risk Management is responsible for using the company’s risk management framework to identify, assess, monitor and help mitigate the financial, reputational, regulatory and operational risks associated with Green Dot’s products and services. In addition, this role is tasked with meeting preparation for various risk committees, implementing disciplined policy management processes, and maintaining the company’s risk register.
Timely execution and reporting of various types of risk assessments:
Partner with business stakeholders to identify and assess risk associated with existing and proposed products, services, processes and systems.
Assist stakeholders in assessing the nature and severity of inherent risks and work together to identify and design risk mitigation strategies including risk reduction, acceptance or transference processes.
Facilitate meeting preparation activities for various risk committees including drafting agendas, tracking materials preparation, facilitating meetings, drafting minutes and follow-up work
Maintain the company’s risk register and monitor and report on risk mitigation plans.
Educate, communicate and facilitate the use of appropriate Enterprise Risk Management methodologies, tools and techniques by business partners.
Assist external business partners with risk-related initiatives and strategies.
Perform other duties as required to support Enterprise Risk Management and the business.
MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in risk management or risk governance preferably within a retail financial institution, prepaid/credit/debit card company, payments company, money service business or consulting company.
Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, high-growth environments; proven skills in relationship building, influence management, decision-making and problem solving.
Hands-on experience with a GRC application such as Archer is preferred.
Good understanding of cloud-based technology and development process.
Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work both individually and in a team environment.
Expertise with MS Office Professional programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience in writing risk assessments.
