Here’s what you will do as part of the team:
Assist in the oversight and administration of the Business Continuity Management program and Risk Management program to aid in the achievement of MPAC’s objectives and strategic plan.
Implement the Business Continuity Strategy for MPAC and support the development, design and continuous improvement of BCM policies, procedures and practices with a focus on continuous improvement towards leading business practices;
Work closely with Communications, Emergency Management, Facilities, IT, Employee Relations and other business functions to ensure ongoing corporate resilience.
Report and communicate on Business Continuity Management matters including reporting to the Executive Management Group and Director Committees.
Lead risk assessment workshops with key MPAC business partners to assist in risk identification and the application of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy and Framework.
Assist with the ongoing implementation of the ERM Policy and departmental ERM Frameworks, taking all responsible steps to align business, operations and the achievement of business objectives to the ERM Framework.
Develop appropriate risk self-assessment tools to assist MPAC departments to effectively assess and manage risks.
Partner with business units to develop and report on key risk metrics and promote a risk awareness culture through regular communications, including information sessions and training.
Complete regular review and benchmarking of principal risks, risk appetite statements and risk management best practices.
Support the ERM leadership team on the identification, analysis, evaluation, and reporting (including drafting Board notes) of material financial and non-financial risks (including BCM risks) of projects and initiatives, on an enterprise wide and disaggregate level.
Represent MPAC internally and externally on matters of risk, controls, insurance, and policy implementation and oversight.

Minimum 3 years demonstrated work experience in Business Continuity Management.
Completion of a post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Business Administration or other related field of study.
Experience running risk assessment workshops and using BallotResolver or similar voting technology.
Demonstrated research and analytical skills to review and provide guidance to staff and senior management on interpretation of risk management including identifying issues, conducting research, analyzing information and making recommendations.
Excellent time management skills with an ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent verbal communication and written skills to support recommendations and liaise with stakeholders.
Proficient in Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint, and the ability to develop standardized reporting routines.
Valid Driver’s License.
Ability to travel as required (limited).
Nice to have:
Professional certifications in Project Management and Business Continuity.
2 years of experience in a related risk management field.
