The Role Responsibilities
Support the Global Head, Strategy, Conduct and Individual Accountability in delivering on the strategic agenda for Strategy, Governance and Core Compliance ("SGCC"). This includes assisting in the design and implementation of the Conduct Risk Type Framework to drive a consistent approach to the effective supervision, control and management of conduct risks across the Group.
Support the delivery of key priorities and initiatives aligned to the SGCC performance scorecard.
Support and advise CFCC teams in Group, Regions and Countries on the management of their Conduct risks.
Support the embedding of Conduct risk identification within the first line through ongoing advice, development of practical guidance and sharing of best practices.
Review conduct plans and provide feedback on enhancements where required.
Support the implementation of the Conduct Risk Framework across the Compliance function and embedding the BAU requirements to ensure a robust sustainable process.
Support the annual Conduct Risk Framework effectiveness review process
In collaboration with Risk Reporting and owners of relevant data sources, develop the MI necessary for Conduct Risk reporting and monitoring of risk appetite metrics.
Support the design of the Conduct Risk Framework to effectively set the standards on how to manage Conduct risks throughout the Bank aligned with the Board Risk Appetite Statement.
Understand and evaluate horizon risks that may have a significant impact.
Collaborate with CFCC teams to ensure Conduct risks are comprehensively identified, assessed, managed, monitored and reported.
Interpret Bank-wide impact of potential conduct risks identified in products, services, geographies and customer segments.
In the event of regulatory breaches or where risk tolerances have been breached, ensure senior management is informed for actions to be taken quickly to remediate and/or cease activities.
Maintain oversight of risk acceptances and/or mitigating action plans relating to Conduct risk matters.
Solve complex problems relating to Conduct risk matters.
Comply with and communicate the relevant risk management policies.
Support the design and management of the Conduct risks inventory.
Support the design and maintenance of metrics that allow CFCC to dynamically monitor Conduct risks.
Support the reporting of key Conduct risks and issues to senior management and relevant Group and Business risk committees.
Track the Group Scorecard actions related to Compliance Risk and reporting of RAGs to the Group scorecard teams.
Assist Global Head, Strategy, Conduct and Individual Accountability in coordinating and managing internal and external audits and assurance reviews.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
At least 8 years of experience in risk management or experience in Risk, Compliance and or FCC roles at a country or group level
Established understanding of operational risk management within a financial services environment
A good understanding of the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework and the Principal Risk Types and CFCC function's operational processes.
Knowledge of the Conduct Risk Type Framework and Compliance Risk Type Framework is required.
Experience in designing and implementation of risk frameworks is preferred.
Strong drafting and analytical skills
Good judgment enabling the provision of sound advice in the proactive management of conduct and compliance risks.
Self-driven and independent - ability to operate with minimal guidance
Personal authority, integrity, and ethics
Sharp business acumen, including the ability to assess risk
Excellent inter-personal skills, and multi-cultural awareness
Knowledge in risk identification, risk assessment, controls development, training, monitoring and reporting would be an advantage
