The Senior Model Risk Management Analyst is responsible for the management and delivery of the annual model validation plan and supporting aspects of the validation results.
The responsibilities include the timely delivery of model validation pre-requisites to the model validators, to include, but not limited to, ensuring data requests are accurate and comprehensive, establishing a project management plan for each model validation, providing assurance model validation is performed in compliance with policies and procedures, and performing a review of model validation documentation for standards, quality and scope.
Responsibilities also include communication and management of model validation findings within the model validation group and with stakeholders in firm-wide departments.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.
Own the timeline for the model validation plan through delivering detailed project plans and ensuring adequate supporting data is provided to the model validators.
Conduct review meetings, including project kick-off, code walk-through, model validation presentations, peer-review of detailed validation reports, peer-review of assessment reports, findings, and observation management meetings.
Conduct various analyses at the request of management, assist in regulatory reporting, participate in cross-departmental model risk activities, and support system development.
Develop and maintain written internal procedures and controls.
Perform MVG self-testing for internal controls and coordinate with Compliance to ensure MVG deliverables meet the stated requirements.
Review and Assess Quality standards for model validation deliverables, specifically performing a quality assurance function over final reports; improve necessary processes as warranted.
Prepare model validation update reports to OCCs Management Committee, OCCs Risk Committee of the Board, and OCCs Regulators (SEC).
Support the Director of Model Risk Management in the role of liaison to internal departments and external control entities, such as: Business Controls Group, Internal Audit, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Compliance, Regulators, and Auditors.
Manage the scheduling of appropriate Education and Awareness of MVG Policies and Processes.

Strong understanding of Project Management (i.e. Agile is used at OCC)
Knowledgeable in governance and compliance fundamentals and supporting disciplines including Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit and Compliance.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects covering model development or model validation.
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage groups.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and team-focused environment
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Excellent Interpersonal skills, verbal & written
Ability to formulate strategies and establish goals

Strong PC skills; comfortable with Windows environment.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including lookups, macros, VBA and pivot tables.
Comfortable performing data analysis and manipulation on large, complex sets of information with little oversight.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Project.
Solid skills in SQL and databases. Working knowledge of R or similar analysis environment desirable.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree in Economics, Science (or equivalent), or related field
Previous experience as a business analyst, 5+ years preferred.
Experience in financial services/risk management of listed equity options is highly desirable.
