Responsible for overall management and objectives of Parker’s risk management information and claims management. Works with Parker’s Director of Risk Management, RM Analyst and the Risk Manager - Insurance to set strategy for claims management, data management and analytics, Parker’s Captive, and related matters. Coordinates safety information with Parker EHS department. Manages TPA requirements and coordinates with Division HR managers to assure TPA adherence to Parker and internal standards.

Direct Reports: Oversees Parker’s TPAs and RMIS provider
RM Operations Management
Develop and maintain a Risk Management Website.
Maintain the Parker RMIS and advise RM Analyst of internal and external reports and data requirements
Work with Parker Accounting management to prepare and manage risk management and insurance budgets, estimates and cost allocations to business units.
Collaborate with Legal department to review leases, contracts and other legal documents to evaluate appropriateness of wording and assure compliance with insurance and risk management policies
Establish formal workers’ compensation service standards for TPAs and Division HR managers.
Work with Division HR managers to assure compliance with Parker and internal TPA standards and procedures for workers’ compensation claims.
Investigate major losses and manage forensic consultants.
Collaborate with legal on pertinent claims matters
Maintain and update BCP templates, coordinate completion by business units and maintain database of business unit plans.
Collaborate with Parker EHS to test and revise business unit BCP plans and procedures.
Communication & Collaboration
Prepare budget and financial reports for Director of Risk Management, RM Committee and the Acadia Board and management.
Coordinate with EHS department to analyze safety data and trends for improvement opportunities
Work with Division HR managers to measure workers’ compensation claim trends and hold TPAs accountable for adherence to claim management standards.
Work with plants and business units to prepare and test BCP plans
Assist with insurance and risk management due diligence reviews for mergers and acquisitions
Contribution to the Parker Risk Leadership Team
Completion of annual objectives
Quality and accuracy of BCP plans and exercises
Quality of TPA standards and results of TPA audits
Quality and accuracy of claim investigations
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance required; advanced degree a plus
CRM, ARM, CPCU, or another risk management or insurance designation desirable
Minimum five to seven years of risk management and/or insurance experience, with at least three in a risk management or insurance position at a large company.
Safety, loss prevention, and claims experience desirable
Knowledge of Business Continuity programs and testing.
Knowledge of and experience with captive insurers and other alternative financing mechanisms.
Able to generate new ideas, champion different approaches, exhibit leadership abilities and encourage teamwork by actively supporting others.
Results oriented with a sound knowledge of the business environment and able to communicate ideas in a clear and concise manner orally and in writing.
Strong data analysis skills and ability to communicate findings to non-techs.
Ability to solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists
Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Computer skills in Windows environment, working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, RMIS systems
