The Ideal Candidate
The City of El Segundo is seeking an engaging and dynamic Risk Manager to join our Finance Department. The ideal candidate has experience in worker’s compensation, occupational health and safety, emergency and safety management and training and general liability. We are looking for someone who is technologically savvy, displays outstanding judgment, and enjoys the challenges of a fast-paced and change-oriented work environment. Candidates with a professional certification (i.e. ARM, ARM-P or ARM-E) and Public Sector experience are highly desirable.
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in risk management, safety, business or public administration, or a closely related field and five (5) years (full-time equivalent) of increasingly responsible experience in public sector risk management with two (2) years of supervisory, management, and/or administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensing/Certification Requirements:
Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License.
Designation as an Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Risk Management for Public Entities (ARM-P), Enterprise-Wide Associate in Risk Management-ERM (ARM-E), or an equivalent is desirable.
