The Director of Risk Management will work closely with Executives, medical Leadership, and Safety departments to provide guidance to the business regarding matters related to risk as well as a close concentration concerning Grievances. This position focuses on enhancing and promoting employee and patient safety, ensuring quality care, and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the organization.

This is a Full Time opportunity working in Inglewood, California. 

Essential Duties:

• In conjunction with executive leadership, identify and measure risks, develop reports and plans, conduct risk assessments, provide experienced consultation, advice and strategies in risk control, mitigation and avoidance, as well as support operations leadership with risk management issues.

• Manage company’s insurance policies and strategies for reducing liability, manage and coordinate loss control activities, prepare loss analyses and budgets, identify areas of risk exposures, handle insurance policy renewals.

• Oversee administration of all insurance and legal claims including professional liability and worker’s compensation, including reporting, investigation, litigation management, and resolution/outcome management. Deliver claim information which influences risk management behavior through performance metrics and benchmarking.

• Oversee and manage grievance intake, accountable for efficient coordination and resolution of grievances; responsible for Incident Reporting System process and protocol.

• Partner with legal in connection with the company’s compliance program; coordinate and facilitate regulatory compliance matters.

• Maintain and develop corporate risk management strategy and initiatives, serve as central point of contact for the development and maintenance of contracts and relationships with brokers, insurers, adjusters, and various vendors.

• Ensure employees are in compliance with company policies and processes for risk management and loss control, coordinate with training department and field employees to correctly assess and reduce risk.
