About the Security Department
The Security Department's mission is to protect Bridgewater. We secure the investment engine, which manages assets for global institutional clients, as well as various business operations functions. We constantly evolve our cyber, physical, and staff security practices to meet the business needs and stay ahead of the changing threat landscape.
About Your Role:
The Security Risk Associate is accountable for supporting the development and implementation of the governance framework, related policies and guidelines, and alignment of risks across the organization. In particular, the Security Risk Associate is responsible for managing the risk assessment and risk aggregation processes, enhancing the effectiveness of the risk management program, and supporting the [GRC Senior Manager] in updating and maintaining the company's Security Control Framework, Enterprise Risk Management Policy, and related documents and processes.
You will drive the following responsibilities:
Own the policies, standards, and underlying processes for making governance and risk acceptance tradeoffs
Understand business processes, regulations, and controls, and develop meaningful audits to ensure controls are operating effectively
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and teams to deliver projects as needed to meet security goals
Contribute to building and operating our security risk management processes: risk assessment design and execution, risk treatment, issue and action management portfolio oversight, insight analysis, and reporting

Minimum qualifications:
3-5 years of relevant security risk or internal audit experience in the financial services and consulting industry.
Background in Technology or Information Security (including CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification) is preferred but not required.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Effective relationship-building skills.
