Overview
Assist the Director of Internal Control and Risk Management in managing Ajinomoto's risk management program. This is a hands on position responsible for reviewing our insurance policies, setting insurance requirements for vendor contracts and PO's, managing claims, facility safety and compliance inspections. The position will also assist with Ajinomoto's Enterprise Risk Management initiative while identifying and assessing risks throughout the organization.
Responsibilities
Manage vendor insurance requirements
Manage and coordinate collection of certificates of insurance and evidence of commercial property with our outside management company
Work with adjuster, forensic accountant and Ajinomoto accounting and operations on open claims
Conduct risk assessments of our distribution centers and third party warehouses
Attend carrier loss control meetings
Coordinate property carriers plant and boiler inspections
Attend workers' compensation claims meetings
Review Insurance and indemnity clause for vendors, warehouses, distribution centers and co-packers agreements
Review insurance policies for coverage gaps
Coordinate and help place our Builders Risk Policies for major construction projects
Identify risks for each balance sheet category
Identify major systems risks
Assist in Enterprise Risk Management initiatives
Special projects pertaining to areas of risk management
Conduct brokers RFP's
Attend Risk and Insurance Management Society conferences and education sessions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Risk Management preferred
5+ years' experience in one or more of the following fields: Risk Management, Insurance, Legal, Finance or Accounting
Technical expertise and industry knowledge of Risk Management and Insurance
Advanced working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong ERP software experience
Ability to travel to plants and third party warehouses to conduct inspections
Ability to multi-task and think at both the strategic and implementation level
Ability to build collaborative relationships with colleagues and business partners to drive results
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis skills
Strong work ethic; sense of accountability; open to feedback and focused on achieving excellence
