The goal of the internship is to expose students who have not had any risk management and insurance coursework or experience to the wholesale, specialty and surplus lines segment of the property and casualty insurance industry, a unique segment that focuses on unusual, high risk insurance needs such as cyber security, celebrities and athletes, construction, transportation and shipping, natural disasters, cannabis, and many more.
