First and foremost, the job responsibilities are to provide outstanding customer service to our members and fellow staff by promptly, courteously, and accurately responding to verbal and written communications within established timeframes; attend meetings related to the organization and the department; maintain current knowledge of trends in risk pooling, property, and liability fields; and attend classes and conferences.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently and concurrently managing multiple claims, tasks, and projects. The candidate will be detail-oriented and provide outstanding customer service to internal customers and our members. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint proficiency is highly desirable. The candidate must communicate clearly while presenting information to co-workers and pool members. A background in claims and analytics would be beneficial. Experience with public entity claims is desired but optional.
The salary range for the position is $81,949 - $122,924. To determine approximate total compensation, add an additional 38% to the salary. This more accurately represents the total benefits received as an employee.

This position is located in Roseville, CA, and is full time, 40 hours per week, with hours from 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, though there is flexibility. Remote work up to two days per week.

Formed in 1979, JPIA is not an insurance agency or carrier. It is a risk-sharing pool for property, liability, workers’ compensation and employee benefits, which allows for more rate stability, broader coverage and expanded benefits and services than private insurance.
Our offerings are unique to the water industry; member agencies themselves – their directors and managers – have selected and refined the various programs. Only agencies that demonstrate a commitment to effective risk management programs are accepted in to JPIA.
