Select Actuarial Services is an independent property and casualty actuarial consulting firm. We specialize in the analysis of risks retained by non-insurance entities, either through self-insurance or captive insurance company arrangements. We have an established base of long-term, satisfied clients in many fields, and we expect this base to continue to grow. This growth has compelled us to look for a qualified experienced team member.
We are currently seeking to hire a team member to work with us in the technical analyses required to complete our actuarial projects. Duties will include analysis of data in electronic spreadsheets, running loss modeling software, and checking exhibits for accuracy. The qualified applicant will hold an undergraduate degree in math (candidates with degrees in other fields and a strong math background will be considered). Having passed Exams P and FM along with several years of actuarial experience are prefered. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also essential for success in a consulting environment. Computer know-how is important, with spreadsheet skills being the most valuable. Qualified applicants must be detail-oriented and capable of working in a team environment in Nashville, Tennessee.
