What you will do:
Our Suport Services team is seeking a Sr. Risk Management Business Partner to provide hands on leadership and work along with the Risk and Insurance Sr. Manager to provide continual risk assessment. This role will also facilitate the enterprise risk identification process and develop insurance corporate policies, procedures and programs to mitigate a wide range of risk that may affect the company.
Act as an advisor, developing and implementing Enterprise Risk Management framework including policies, procedures and best practices for the company. Research and Develops risk management initiatives and policy to identify gaps.
Evaluates insurance programs and recommends the proper mix of coverage in areas such as property & casualty, general liability, product liability among others to minimize risk. Negotiates with carriers and brokers insurance premiums and coverage terms.
Partners in the implementation of the Companywide ERM program. Provides oversight of the program and works with the different lines of defense within the organization to manage external, people, process, relationship and systems risks. Leads root cause analysis meetings and mitigation activities. Prioritizes, monitor and evaluates risk criteria and collect business metrics that provides actionable insights.
Support the management of policy renewals, claims, issuance of certificates, budget planning, and risk minimization programs.
Coordinate claims management activities including reporting procedures, claims investigation, conferring with claimants, physicians, attorneys and brokers, settlement of claims, among others.
Coordinates various parties the data collection for underwriting, analysis of exposures of all lines of insurance carried by the company. Assist in top down, bottoms up risk assessment processes, and develop reports on the status and results of those assessments.
Works collaboratively with business leaders to collect, create and detail requirements and documentation to ensure overall compliance with the company’s Enterprise Risk Management goals, policies and procedures.
Creates risk awareness and understanding of impact to the organization. Works with business units and support teams on development of action plans to remediate any heightened risk resulting from the risk assessments and identify opportunities to improve internal controls; assist in the developing policies and control processes for managing risk exposures within the different business units.
Administer policy renewals, claims, issuance of certificates, budget planning, and risk minimization programs:
Answers routine insurance requests for information processing including certificates of insurance, product liability, policy inquiries, as necessary.
Maintains and control all insurance policies are up to date and premiums are processed through the A/P system.
Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual claims summaries.
Maintain and update claims logs, certificates of insurance and update as needed.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of all documentation received.
Provides education and training to staff to build risk awareness. Recommends, develops and conducts risk management training in a wide variety of channels including e learning.
Develops and leads safety programs and trainings. Collaborates with safety inspections, safety training and ISO 45001 implementation and monitoring.
Collaborates with other areas such Fraud and Loss Prevention to manage companywide risk.
Helps strengthen companywide risk assessment programs including processes and documentation related to BCP activities, corporate wide contingency planning, disaster recovery and crisis management plans.
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university. Master’s degree preferred.
ARM or CPCU designations preferred.
6-8 years of risk and insurance management experience with strong background in corporate insurance coverage including the management of claims and insurance renewals.
Prior experience in the development of corporate insurance risk control programs.
Prior experience with development and implementation of Enterprise Risk Management program required.
Must have financial, analytical background as well as Commercial Insurance knowledge.
General IT knowledge a plus.
