Under the direction of the Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management, the Manager, ERM is responsible for supporting Peoples Group Enterprise Risk Management Program by analyzing and monitoring enterprise risks throughout Peoples Group and providing regular reporting to the Senior Management Team and Board Risk Committee on risk trends and compliance with internal polices and regulatory requirements. You will also responsible for providing support for implementation of risk analytics applications and tools across Peoples Group.
You will ensure that appropriate enterprise risk management processes are in place and working effectively and that policies, procedures and standards concerning the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, and control of Peoples Group risks are effectively executed across the company.
You will be accountable for developing and executing enterprise risk management programs and processes, tools, and standardized guidance to the Peoples Group business lines to capture, identify, evaluate, respond to, and report on risk information. You will understand Peoples Group end-to-end processes and the material risks, conduct comparative analysis across various risk tools and businesses, and build a comprehensive view of Peoples Group risk profile.
Any combination of experience in the following areas:
3 years experience with assessment of retail and commercial credit portfolios and credit underwriting; or 3 years experience working in a financial institution in a second line of defence role; or 3 years experience working for a financial institution regulator
Post-secondary degree in Business or Finance or equivalent is an asset
Sound analytical experience that require data extraction and manipulation; complimented by strong attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Word & Outlook; Intermediate to advanced level of Excel
Ability to work with demanding and strict deadlines
Familiarity with banking regulatory trends
Adaptable, flexible, innovative and responsive to change
