Fast Paced and growing company is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to manage the risk and insurance aspects that support our operations. The position is an “in-office” position based in our Boca Raton-Palm Beach location. We are a mixed-use real estate and development company that owns and operates multifamily, commercial and industrial real estate. We have a retail division that operates several retail concepts within our properties. This person will report to our Director of Finance and work closely with internal and external legal and insurance providers. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of experience in a similar Risk Management role and have comprehensive technical experience with claims, insurance coverage and contracts. Previous experience on an insurance brokerage team or commercial lines underwriter and/or claims is preferred. Having professional development credentials that include your ARM, CRIS, CPCU and a minimum of an undergraduate degree is ideal.
Some specifics of the role that should be aligned with your experience: • Proven track record working with department managers and providing feedback to senior management on risk related activity including vendor compliance, contract review and broker/insurer management. • Must be able to train, mentor, and generally supervise more junior team members • Demonstrate highly professional & courteous demeanor • Possess excellent time management & organizational skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced skills with MS Word and MS Excel • Bachelor’s degree as a minimum standard • Underwriting experience preferred • Claims handling inception to conclusion preferred Competitive salary, full benefits (medical, dental, vision, life LTD/STD etc.) including 401K.
